What does an annual air source heat pump service include?
An annual air source heat pump service includes safety and performance checks in line with the manufacturer’s guidance. This can include inspecting the outdoor unit, controls, cylinder connections and pipework, checking for signs of wear or leaks and making sure the system is operating correctly.
Do I need an air source heat pump service every year?
Yes, we recommend having your air source heat pump serviced every year. Regular servicing helps keep the system working efficiently and may be required to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty.
Are repairs included?
The repair support available depends on the service plan you choose. Your package summary explains what is covered, along with any limits and exclusions. Repairs outside your cover will be quoted separately.
Are parts and labour included?
Parts and labour may be included on selected plans, subject to the package terms. Chargeable repairs come with a 15% discount on labour and parts. We’ll explain what is included before you choose a plan.
Can I get cover for an older air source heat pump?
An older heat pump may be eligible if it is correctly installed, safe and in good working order. We’ll carry out an initial inspection before cover begins. Any existing faults need to be put right at your cost.
Is there a waiting period?
All plans come with a 14-day no-claims period and a 14-day cooling-off period. You can cancel within 14 days for a full refund if no services have been delivered. See our terms and conditions for full details.
Can landlords use an air source heat pump service plan?
Yes, a service plan can help landlords arrange regular maintenance and support for a heat pump in a rental property. We’ll confirm which package suits the system and explain what is included.
What happens if my air source heat pump cannot be repaired?
If your heat pump cannot be repaired or suitable parts are unavailable, we’ll explain the problem and advise on your replacement options. Complete system replacement is not included unless your package summary expressly states otherwise.
